Moclín, a ancient white village in Andalucía, approximately a short drive from Granada, is the stimulating location for this art retreat. Painters of every skill level – even novices – will be taught how to conceive and execute non-representational pieces. A portion of the time will be spent outside, working on structured activities out in nature. These sketches and watercolour studies will then be developed in the studio, with guests creating several abstract landscapes in acrylic paint to be shown in the village. The group has exclusive access of the hotel, which is set around an central patio and has a sun terrace with views over the countryside. Plant-Based Cooking in the Algarve
This Mediterranean cooking retreat, based at a villa by the river in the inland Portuguese region, is inspired by the vegetarian dishes of renowned chefs. Hip Hop Don’t Stop is an uplifting, welcoming weekend dance intensive for adults in High Wycombe. The format throughout the camp is a high-energy group warmup, followed by several 90-minute workshops teaching various urban dance forms, then an 60-minute jam to demonstrate new moves. Dancers are divided into levels according to ability and experience, so it is perfect for those who are brand new to street dance, all the way to advanced dancers or instructors. This coastal town is the ideal setting for a sea shanty weekend. Guests will be taught historic sailing songs from a experienced musician, and try their hand at composing original ones. Author and lecturer Greg Mosse conducts the regular sessions on this authors' getaway. He covers topics including story structure, character development, locations and tension, to sending manuscripts to agents.
